The owner as well as the barista is a nice guy, willing to share and caring for every details. They had home roaster bean for hand drip, whole bean, drip bags etc. I am sure to visit again for the hand drip. You could consider to spend your time if you are waiting for the next ferry.

Great cafe on Lamma - a bit hidden from the main path but just minutes from it - worthy to try. He roasts his own coffee, though we learnt coffee for espresso is used from another Hong Kong roast shop.

What can be better than reading The King of New York by Will Hermes (a Lou Reed biography) with a flat white oat milk on the table while live piano practice is taking place in a cozy air conditioned eclectic cafe preaching “make coffee not war”? Not much! A superb stop on Lamma with friendly staff and great coffee

The most wonderful cafe experience! Myself and my fiancée each got hot pourovers, and the owner was great at immersing us in his process (e.g. roasting, smelling the ground beans, cleansing the palette with water). The atmosphere of the shop was so quaint and gentle, with a beautiful piano that all are encouraged to play. A very reasonable price for what we are used to in the U.S. ($70-90 HKD each; $9-11 USD), but this experience was priceless. I will visit every time I am back in Hong Kong!

I'm not a person who knows much about coffee, but i can tell how multi-dimensional the coffee is compared to chain outlet coffees, the initial taste is different from the aftertaste, and how long after you drink the coffee from the time it was served also affects the taste. The barista is a very nice person, he taught us a lot about the siphoning process (something i never heard of, only heard of handrip), how to tell a good coffee and also talked to us about the history of coffee. We spent just 2 hours there hearing his story about the coffee store, the meaning behind the name and even just the pace of life in general, even though we didn't plan to be there that long. The pace of life in Lamma is just so much more relaxing compared to the mainland. I left the shop feeling more enlightened about life and coffee, aside than just having a good cup of Joe. Very reasonable price of coffee for a handrip or siphon, aside from the atmosphere and friendliness of the barista.

I love a good coffee. I had the perfect coffee here. It was fresh and had a smooth finish. Cosy little air conditioned Cafe too, the owner even turned up the air con for us. Very polite and happy atmosphere. I'll definitely come back.... 10/10

The owner knows coffee. Their tonic espresso is one of the best drinks I have ever had. Their service is very welcoming and friendly! This is a hidden gem, a must visit. Trust me you won’t regret it!
